Size: +/-2,000 SF
Team: Steve Farrell, The Construction Zone
Completed in 2006, this unique single-family residence is a take on the classic glass box. Perched on a site that was, by many, considered ‘unbuildable’ it’s simple, open plan focuses all of the interior space on the expansive desert views. Floor-to-ceiling operable glass walls, steel ‘I-beams’, and stone floors are complemented by custom wood millwork and stainless steel. The residence’s three glass walls allow its interior spaces to flow effortlessly into the adjacent Phoenix Mountain Preserve while the fourth wall acts as a buffer from the adjacent neighborhood and shelter from the desert sun.
